Marseille still on top

Marseille maintained their 100% record to remain top of Ligue 1, but only after they scraped a 1-0 victory at Nancy. The victory at Stade Marcel-Picot saw OM make it five wins from five. Jordan Ayew was the match-winner, finding the target after 57 minutes. Lyon maintained their 100% record at Stade Gerland this season with a 2-0 win over Ajaccio.

Dejan Lovren and Lisandro Lopez scored the goals as Les Gones stretched their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 campaign to five matches. They sit two points behind Marseille in second. Lorient preserved their unbeaten start with a 2-1 victory at Rennes in a controversial affair that saw three players sent off. Two goals from Alain Traore put the visitors in the driving seat but that was tempered by red cards for Maxine Baca and goalkeeper Fabien Audard. Rennes replied through Jonathan Pitroipa but they also finished the match a man down, with Cheick Diarra given his marching orders.

Meanwhile, Kojo Asamoah netted in the 84th minute to seal an away victory for Juventus over Genoa.
